Jim spent 32 years with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, where his duties included managing and protecting wildlife and timberlands and providing landowners with technical assistance for forestry and wildlife management. He retired from SCDNR in 2009 with the rank of Lieutenant, as the State Coordinator for Law Enforcement Education.

Jim’s background in agriculture and wildlife management combined with the knowledge of landowners in Chester and Fairfield Counties enables Jim to provide clients and customers with the expert assistance needed for all aspects of land sales and purchases.

Personal: Jim lives in Blackstock, SC with his wife, Debra. They have two grown children, Jim III and Jill. He and his Dad are partners in Wagers Farms, a working cattle and hay operation. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting and fly fishing as well as shooting sporting clays.
